We would promote independence with activities of daily living to enable our service users return to their baseline pre-hospital admission. We understand that not every person can return fully to their pre-admission baseline. In that case, Mattea Health would promote safe adaptation to their new baseline post hospitalisation.
The experience of our founder, nursing at the bedside, has shown that the NHS regularly has individuals or patients who are medically optimised and stable enough therapy wise for discharge but remain in the hospital for several weeks and even months due to not having the available support needed on discharge.
